Khamis could not produce his accounts and no bank lent him money. His initial funds were secured from DBS with unauthorised letter guarantees from a Scandinavian bank prepared by an accomplice. This guy was not running a business or attempting to run a business. He was just burning money from the very start.
He however did make a fool of so many people including models, SPH journalists, CPIB, etc. What was interesting was that all his staff were pretty much well dressed conmen and women. Since he was good to his fellow conmen and women, they were a very tight and loving bunch.
