Scared Spore Govt Backs Down from PRs

After GCT threatened to compel SPRs to take up citizenship, a lot of PRs are making noises.

Some of these are quite discreet and at very high levels cos there are PRs working in influential positions in Singapore.

We have in the media, PRs taunting, ridiculing, boasting, some even threatening the govt.

Some gave lame excuses to continue with the good life; to have their cake and eat it too.

The citizens are watching and monitoring this saga very very closely.

Should the govt really backs down, a lot of citizens will be unhappy and it will hit them hard during GE. It would only appear that the govt is toothless against PRs but bullies its own citizens and shoving everything down their throats.

The PR monster that PAP has been feeding has now grown too big for them to handle.

You are absolutely correct.

Its possible GCT's ranting are just election decoy to make it appear to the electorate that they are doing something.

We await for the next few months if they will report the numbers of PRs having their renewals rejected.

If PAP tried this stunt againg they will be sorely hit during GE.

Anyway I have just spoken to people I met today about the politics in Singapore. Most are angry at PAP and wants them to be taught a lesson on who is boss.

Believe it or not, I expect the PAP to win

Much of Sporeans anger towards the PAP is never shown in the GE results. Just look at Cheng San, today it's gone & Angmo Kio continues to be run by an assortment of clowns. The Wee guy, father of the mole faced celebrity That female MP who likes to pick on ping pong coaches. LHL, eh.. .we all know about him, he's got 2 assistants, SM & MM , must be one of the unproductive PMs in this region
