This is the only way that something will happen to make the lives of ordinary singaporeans better.
Those voted out will learn to be more humble, empathetic and compassionate when they stand for elections again, or even if they don't, just as citizens of Singapore.
Those still in parliament will get a shock and realize that the power is with the people and they are supposed to serve the people and make their lives better, not vice versa. If they want to keep their positions and benefits, that is.

The issues we are facing is not about him, and neither is he going to be able to solve everything.

Ordinary Singaporeans don't really care about the issues many of you are raising. It is only a pet peeve among the slightly above ordinary Singaporeans who once generated economic rent from their non-value added activities and who are now crying foul at their economic rent being eroded by the foreigners.

You omit to mention that they walkover by the choice of the opposition, not the PAP. The PAP can't decide who walks over and who doesn't. It is the opposition and the independents, by choosing whether or not to contest a ward, who decide which PAP MPs walk over.

And if you assume that the opposition are smart people, they will choose the wards they are stronger in. Therefore if they now contest in the uncontested wards, won't they lose by even larger percentages?

Dear Sir,

1. Oppositions had never contested in all the seats in the parliament. that my dear sir, is oppositions own doing. So is it people's fault when there are walkovers?

2. How our enemies was commissioned is NONE of our business. To compare ourselves to their standards is to demean our own. Since GMS is supposed to be our own, his commission however is our concern.

3. I want to see oppositions, most if not all do as well. But when you put someone with integrity problems, all get implicated.
