Why are Singapore composed songs got to sing as if someone is squeezing your neck to sing.

They do not inspire let alone touch your soul. The Singapore National Anteum is the worst....you don't even know what you are singing.

What the the songs that inspire....just listen to the Americian National and Communist China national Anteum.

Listen to Sam Hui's songs, how they touch your and bring a smile to your face. Listen to the Cantonese songs like Shangai Beach, Brave Chinese, Hong Kong this is my Home etc. These were composed more than 25 years ago in Hong Kong.

After 45 years, all Singapore can compose are these type of neck-squeezing songs....that spells what level of culture and music talents Singapore has. Perhaps the MOE needs to write more "MODEL ANSWERS" to nurture a more "CREATIVE" generation of Singaporeans.
