MALACCA: Five masked machete-wielding robbers left not only with RM150,000 (S$64,140) in cash and valuables, but also some words of advice for their victims.

"Don't become robbers like us. Study hard, become doctors and lawyers and make your parents proud," they told six primary schoolchildren present during the robbery.

The robbers had entered the house in Taman Batang Melaka at about 9pm and held up tuition teacher M. Sashi, 35, who was giving lessons to six primary schoolchildren aged between eight and 11.

They tied him, his wife and elderly mother before forcing the children to lie face down and remain silent.

One of the pupils' uncle, who came to fetch his 10 year-old nephew, was also held and tied up.

Sashi said the robbers had also asked his mother for forgiveness.

"Don't think too harshly of us. We too are like your son trying to make a living. Forgive us," he said.

Jasin CID chief Asst Supt Ahzarha Abdul Rahim said the robbers, believed to be in their 20's, stole an estimated RM150,000 worth of jewellery, an LCD television set and RM1,500.

"We believe the robbers may have known the victims or were working for someone who knew them," he said.

He urged those with information to contact him at 012-632 0050 .

The robbers forgot to add : "Our society needs more rich professionals and big bosses so that people like us will never run out of targets to rob. Remember to give us a ring when you have made it. But I really hope we won't see you when we turn up to do our job. If it's at night when you are sleeping and you hear noises, just imagine you are dreaming and carry on to sleep. Here's my name card. Keep well". :D

Robbers but also teachers of values. :D:rolleyes:
What about beggars? Indeed some beggars blessed their givers good health and wealth - like religious places. They make you feel good.

Others big charity organisations simply demand that you give - out of societal obligation or because they make you feel guilty that your wealth was built on some good fortune or deeds by the society or government and it's sort of pay back time. Never feel good about giving to such organisations.

The most ridiculous these days are those salesmen selling charities near the mrt stations.
The will start the conversation with "Don't worry, we are not selling anything."
I usually reply "You ARE selling something."

If they are selling charities, why do they say "Don't worry, we are not selling anything."  Idiots :(

selling- you expect something in return.
charity- you get nothing in return, ok maybe "God bless u, thank u". Since it is charity, you should not expect anything in return.:D

they can always come to singapore.
we have plenty of jobs and locals shun them.
