Man dies after vicious parang attack at Orchard Plaza

A man died from multiple slash wounds from parangs at Orchard Plaza early this morning (Jul 23) at about 4.30am.

A fight involving about 20 men broke out at about 4am and 5 men were seen chasing and attacking the victim, said a security guard who works at Orchard Plaza.

STOMPer JasunZ saw the police at the scene this morning:

"I was coming to work at my usual timing of 6.30am. When I approached my parking at Cuppage, I notice lots of Police Vehicles parked alongside the road.

"The police had cordoned off the whole Orchard Plaza and park of Cuppage as well.

"While have breakfast, I noticed more and more police officers arriving both uniformed and plain clothes. There are at least 30 police officers walking around, seemingly looking for clues and questioning people.

"There were no other signs of any abnormality except for the police tape all over the place."

that not something i seen in my childhood days, most common was the ice pick, next come the parang. My neighbour at that time was a Ang Soon Tong leader (now not sure) his son was my classmate, many of his employees were also gang members. Most the weapons used were common tools that was improvised.

Very deadly if know how to use. Closes up wounds upon puncturing vital organs to cause internal haemorrhaging and death but useless on other non-vital parts of body like hands or legs. A glorified icepick at best.
