If we wait long enough, we can finally get to watch the movies we missed on the big screen and were too cheap to buy or rent the dvd.
Watched Election I last week and Election II last Sat on "free to air" tv.
In Election I, was the ending changed from the big screens? In the tv version, Lok played by Simon Yam was caught by the police after he killed Big D played by Tony Leung Kar Fai. But I understand that in the big screen version, he killed Big D's wife after killing Big D and was not caught by the police.
Hence it was strange when after the tv version where he was caught, he appeared unscathed in Election II.
In Election II, did Lok die in the end? If so, how? I missed part of the movie when I turned to other channels.
The ending was superb, involving Jimmy played by Louis Koo and his realization that his plan to leave the triads, was but a dream.
