New Straits Times

JOHOR BARU: Organised crime gangs from Singapore are now believed to be competing for territories here, resulting in fights and other incidents such as the shooting of an underworld figure in Jalan Abdullah Tahir here last Saturday.

Police are now looking for a Singaporean to facilitate investigations into the incident, where the victim, also a Singaporean, in his 50s, was shot in his right thigh and left hip.

According to witnesses, both men had been quarrelling before the shooting started. The victim is now recuperating in hospital.

Johor police chief Datuk Mokhtar Shariff yesterday said the victim himself is wanted by police for a number of violent crimes.

The shooter has been identified as Yang Koh Seng, in his 40s. He is believed to be travelling on a Singapore passport.

Wah, the proliferation of crimes in JB can now be blamed on Sporeans. So easy. How can these Sporeans go and disturb the peaceful tranquil life in Malaysia?
