HE HAD several heated disputes with his girlfriend and developed a dislike for women after that, a Community Court heard.
Between Nov 19 and Dec 31 last year, Goh Kock Oon, 20, set out molesting eight women in the Bedok and Tampines areas.
On Wednesday, he was sentenced to 12 months' jail and nine strokes of the cane after pleading guilty to three counts of grabbing or squeezing the victims' breasts. Another five charges were taken into consideration.
The court heard that he was cycling at a park at Tampines Street 32 at about 10pm last Nov 21 when . After parking his bicycle nearby, he walked to the victim and squeezed her breasts from behind. Taken aback, the victim struggled, causing both of them to fall. Goh quickly got up and ran towards his parked bicycle.
More than an hour later, he grabbed the breasts of a 20-year-old woman while she was talking to her mother on the cellphone.
On Dec 31, he molested a 27-year-old woman at a void deck at Bedok Reservoir Road after pretending to ask her for directions. The victim's 27-year-old male friend heard her shouts for help and managed to detain Goh after a chase. Goh could have been jailed for up to two years or fined or caned or received any combined sentence on each charge.

KNOWING that a man had just stabbed their colleague and could be armed did not stop two Singapore Pools employees from going after him.
The two men, security assistant Muhammad Rudino Mohamed, 38, and technician Roswira Abdul Rani, 39, trailed him for 20 minutes on Monday evening - while on the phone with the police to update them on his whereabouts.
They eventually led police to the man outside PoMo mall in Selegie Road.
The victim, Mr Sitoh Woon Chee, 59, a part-time lottery results announcer, died at the scene.
Mr Rudino and Mr Roswira were taking a break outside the mall when they heard a commotion between two men. One fell 'awkwardly' to the ground after a short scuffle while the other walked away.
Only when they approached the victim did they realise that it was Mr Sitoh, whom they had known for about five years.
