SINGAPORE Airlines (SIA) stewardess Tiffany Yeo, who met an elderly couple during a Sydney-Singapore flight last year, ended up being their tour guide for the next few days. The 26-year-old, who joined the airline four years ago, said: 'They had decided to celebrate the man's 78th birthday in Singapore but did not have any definite plans, so I offered to take them around and they accepted.

'We went to Maxwell Road Food Centre and the Buddhist temple nearby, among other places, and I also invited them home for tea.' For going beyond the call of duty, Ms Yeo and 16 other staff, as well as 16 teams, will be honoured at SIA's annual staff recognition ceremony on Wednesday at Marina Bay Sands. Despite the severe business downturn that hit the aviation industry last year, SIA did not cut back on training expenditure, spending more than $100 million to upgrade skill levels.

The uniform is ugly, but u neglect the fact that the top portion always make the stewardess zaogeng.

now u know why they always bend down when serving u "coffee, tea or me?";)
they even give u "facial massage" with their nehneh when they have to stretch over to the next passenger beside u - so always buy tickets on outermost seats.:D

Hehe...i oredi did that. I sit at the outermost seats most of the time. Go toilet, i am the first. When plane land, i am also the first to move out. Also like u mentioned, when stewardess pass things to the passenger sitting the most inwards, her neh neh almost touch my nose.

Sigh, SIA, AKA Singapore girl, standard has dropped since its heydays. You used to get a lot of chiobu before now seems like its overly makeup ah-lians. They used to enforce a minimum height for stewardess as well. It seems that is not enforced anymore, I can see the stewardess getting shorter every trip I make with them.

Aiyah, used to be they need the height so can help client put their luggage in the overhead compartment. That way can see more neh neh lah. Especially when they stretch and strain to get the bag above. More things to see leh. neh neh standard maintain, height din maintain means lesser things to see them do loh. Now they just ask other traveler to help get the bag.

Kudos to SIA for being socially progressive enough to employ transgendered people.
