PRC guy racially harassing Manager at MBS
ShockingI was having breakfast at the Paiza Sky Residence (MBS). There was a PRC family, and one of the men was talking so loudly that his voice could be heard across the entire lounge. You could tell other guests were getting annoyed. At one point he started shouting even louder, and everyone turned to see what was happening.
A guest sitting nearby eventually had enough and told him to lower his voice. That guest then moved to another part of the lounge just to get some peace and quiet.
From what I could gather, the family was upset because they were given a city view table instead of one of the few sea-view tables. If you’ve been there before, you’ll know there are only a handful of tables facing the bay, and they were already occupied.
The manager, who I’ve seen there many times and who has always provided excellent service, calmly explained that he couldn’t ask other guests to move. Since there was a language barrier, he even brought over a Chinese speaking host to explain the situation.
Instead of calming down, the man suddenly switched to English and shouted at the manager, “YOU BLACK MAN.”
At that point, the manager called security and other staff over. Once they arrived, the man suddenly became much quieter and started making excuses, saying another guest had told him to be quiet too and arguing about being asked to leave. I left shortly after, so I don’t know how it ended.
The whole thing completely ruined the peaceful atmosphere. Everyone was just trying to enjoy a nice breakfast before starting their day, and one person managed to disturb the entire lounge.
The racial insult was completely unacceptable. Regardless of where you’re from, there’s no excuse for treating staff like that. The manager handled the situation professionally throughout, despite being shouted at and insulted.
People who behave like this should be banned from the premises if they refuse to respect other guests and the staff.
(Didnt manage to get the whole thing on video)
