A rather curious 'anomaly' greets when one trundles through Marine Parade Central Market & Food Centre: two dim sum hawkers - almost 30-year-old Neptune Hong Kong DS and relatively much newer Feng Xin DS, plying within hair's breadth of each other. Story has it Feng Xin's proprietor (some flinty sod appearing to be on the wrong side of fifty) was actually a former Neptune employee who went rogue; attempts at prising an admission or whatever ad rem deets from him, though, got absolutely stonewalled. Suit yourself, dude.

Feng Xin Dim Sum operates daily 7am-6.30pm except Thursdays. Just the very brass tacks are flogged - dumplings, baos, siew mai, lotus leaf rice, carrot cake and chee cheong fun, that's about all.
