Death of Singapore Retail

It'll get worse when the RTS to JB opens early next year. Sinkies will be flocking there to shop, eat, massage (with special) and watch movies. Personally, I don't give a shit to what happens to our local malls as I hardly go there to shop. At most, go and use the toilets there.

There are too many malls in shithole island. Once upon a time malls were destinations for outings you had to plan for the weekend. Now office buildings (mixed development), hospitals and even some MRT stations are similar to malls.

A totalitarian regime needs to keep building, demolishing and rebuilding to boost the economy, because that's the only reliable way it knows. There is no true innovation and creativity, because the regime refuses to let go of and dilute some of its powers. You can forget about having something similar to Taiwan's TSMC in Sinkieland.

Many many more coming…no worry

And it's not just malls. The HDB heartlands are filled with tuition centres and masage shops. There are hardly any small family-owned shops these days.

This is a disease of society. Of course, the soulless PAP technocrats don't see it that way.

Historically, the survival of shopping malls depended on the high premiums earned from branded goods. However, the influx of inexpensive Chinese products through online sales has eroded these earnings, making it increasingly difficult for retailers to cover rent and sustain their operations.
It is clear that these malls are compelled to relocate to residential neighborhoods to reduce their rental expenses.

Almost ready.

They will come and use the Mall's toilet to shit instead of spending money

I like the nice clean ones, almost no people, nice scent from air freshener, sexy jazz music playing in the background, modern Dyson hand dryers, high quality toilet paper that is always fully stocked, good lighting, hand soap is a nice scented foam type, sensor-activated taps are not stingy with the water they dispense.

I bought two very nice premium looking long sleeve shirt in Jiu hu fir RM10 each. No brand. It was in the mall atrium after cny . Good buy. Good value

There is ONLY 5-6m of people in SG…most are just working and working to meet the bill payment and mortgage loan
Most of us PMETs are in front of our laptops the whole day. If we can order something we need online, why spend on petrol and parking to go to a shopping mall? I am so tired after work that I just want to head home, go for a swim or workout in the gym before watching Netflix then head to bed.
