feeling discriminated for being in acsi
Ranthi guys, i don’t know if anyone else feels this way, but being in a top school like acsi is honestly damn painful sometimes. every time someone finds out i’m from acsi, they straightaway call me elitist, arrogant, and say things like, “all acs people think they’re better than others.” it’s so unfair, like what did i do wrong? just being in a good school already kena judged. it’s really making me feel so anxious and out of place.
recently, i was talking to my cousin who’s from ite, and he shared with me how ite really helped him “find his passion” and gave him “hands-on experience.” honestly, i feel so inspired that even though his journey is so... different from mine, he can still stay so positive. sometimes, i wonder if maybe i should just drop out of acsi and join him in ite. at least there, people won’t judge me just for existing.
but now i cannot decide - should i go for higher nitec in culinary, where i can “find my passion” in cooking like him, or hospitality, where i can “gain practical experience” and meet all kinds of people? it’s such a hard choice, both sound like they would suit the ite culture so well
