HK is actually denser because it is mountainous so residents are not spread over the hill regions which are mostly parks and hiking trails.
 
climate in hk and macau is more comfortable than sg for 6.9 months of the year, thus it’s more pleasant and bearable. in sg the density is exacerbated by high heat and humidity year round combined with body odor from a certain demographic group that is increasing in numbers.
