Mai Fujisaki, who debuted as an AV actress in 2024 and gained popularity for her appearance and image, was arrested in November last year following a police raid on a Taipei hotel room in the Shilin District. According to News Post Seven, authorities entered shortly after a sexual transaction had taken place, with both Fujisaki and her client admitting to the act during questioning. She had reportedly been dispatched to the client by a prostitution syndicate operating via a messaging app. The client paid over 170,000 yen. A male accomplice involved in transporting women for the syndicate has since received a three-month prison sentence from a Taiwanese court.
Fujisaki was deported and faces a three-year ban from Taiwan. Her agency is reviewing upcoming professional commitments. Her June 7 apology on X deliberately omitted the nature of the incident, leaving many followers unaware of what had occurred.
The case has drawn attention to a reported trend of young Japanese women travelling overseas for high-paying sex work — a practice experts warn carries serious risks including criminal arrest, passport confiscation, and exploitation by trafficking networks.
