A trio of inmates were sentenced to life behind bars for killing a fellow prisoner who murdered his partner's 2-year-old child. They did it in less than five minutes, and one of them had carried out a similar killing before.

The three inmates at His Majesty's Prison Wakefield (HMP Wakefield) — Mark Fellows, David Taylor and Lee Newell — were found guilty on Friday, June 19, of killing fellow prisoner Kyle Bevan in the attack at the men's prison in Wakefield, England, late last year, according to the BBC.

Fellows, 45, Taylor, 64, and Newell, 57, “cornered” Bevan — who was in prison for murdering a 2-year-old girl — in his cell around 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 4, 2025, then exited less than five minutes later, per the outlet, which obtained CCTV footage from before and after the attack.

Prosecutor Jason Pitter KC said they exited Bevan's cell in a “ ‘satisfied, job done' mood,” per the BBC.

A life sentence and many many life sentences are the same… the inmate step in and never step out. So no matter how many life sentence is or are given.. made no difference
