Since PAP Ministers are paid elite private sector salaries because they supposedly possess rare expertise, the govt should be able to insulate S'poreans better from global economic forces. When domestic policies like successive hikes to GST coincide with global inflation, critics feel the govt is worsening the pain instead of relieving it. When citizens experience job insecurity, inflation and the highest cost of living in the world, hearing from our obscenely paid Ministers that these issues are driven by external forces feels like an evasion of accountability.

The corporate-level financial incentives paid to PAP politicians shields them from the financial struggles of most S'poreans. High salaries insulate Ministers from the actual day-to-day financial struggles of the average citizen, creating a disconnect between the govt and the populace. How can a Minister whose annual salary is enough to feed the average S'porean family for a lifetime, ever know how the people struggle from pay cheque to pay cheque?

But they are good in monitoring and set up task force, also good in causing problems to sinkies, such as approval of CECA agreement, rasing cost of living...etc

All the PAP Ministers' policies are geared towards enriching themselves; even at the expense of the 'peasants'.
