The Palestinian Jews who were in the land for centuries prior to the founding of modern Israel speak Palestinian Arabic, not Yiddish or Ladino. They have been Arabised and have co-existed peacefully with Palestinan Muslims and Christians down the centuries. Many of them still identify themselves as Palestinians and refuse Israeli citizenship, and are staunchly anti-Zionist.
