A dramatic scene unfolded at Dhoby Ghaut MRT station on Friday, 15 May, at around 10:00 PM, when commuters banded together to detain a man accused of taking upskirt photos. According to an eyewitness account from an MS News reader, a woman and a man dressed in an orange T-shirt suddenly sprinted past her through the station. The pair were actively chasing the suspect while shouting out that he had taken inappropriate photos of the woman, drawing immediate attention from surrounding commuters.

The high-speed pursuit quickly turned physical on the North-East Line platform. The commuter wearing the orange shirt managed to pounce on the fleeing suspect. A third bystander, dressed in a black polo shirt, quickly stepped in to assist, ensuring the suspect could not break free. The commotion was so intense that the suspect's shirt was ripped during the struggle. Additionally, a cup of milk tea the suspect had been carrying spilled all over the floor, and several bottles fell and shattered in the chaos.

Following the initial restraint, SBS Transit staff arrived at the scene to manage the situation and take over custody of the suspect. The female victim alleged that the man had been secretly photographing her on the train ever since they were at Somerset MRT station, which is located one stop away on the North-South Line. Despite the heavy accusations and being tailed all the way to Dhoby Ghaut, the suspect firmly denied the claims, repeatedly stating to staff, "I never take upskirt photo," and insisting that they check his mobile device. The man was subsequently escorted to the station office for an official phone inspection, and media outlets have reached out to SBS Transit and SMRT for further official statements.

The girl should be proud somebody actually took notice of her inner beauty. Its the only reason why she wore a skirt and not Bermuda shorts.
