Pang Zi budded a coon's age ago in 2019, when compadres cum rabid durian partisans Sky Neo and Young Wong (who urbanely roll with self-deprecating epithets "Da Pang" and "Xiao Pang") decided upon trucking sought-after lineages of the thorny bubba direct from the latter's uncle's considerable Malaysia plantation: Mao Shan Wang, Tekka, XO, D13, D24, Red Prawn, Golden Phoenix, etc, to 'lelong' to the D-worshipping scrum here.

Around July 2020, to bulwark against the inherent unpredictability of seasonal yields, PZ began dipping fingers into other pies: salvoing durian puffs, mousses, brownies, before graduating to ice creams. This sugary mother lode of a sideshow consequently, however, eclipsed its (primary) wholesale hustle through and through at the till, so much so that recasting the die for an all-out cafe became only inevitable.

Originally lodged nigh on Jurong East, Pang Zi Durian Dessert & Ice Cream House resettled thrice - along Pending Road, Gangsa Road, then Jurong West. It opens Sundays-Thursdays 12pm-10.30pm, Fridays/Saturdays 12pm-12.30am.

Easy access to Parking is a problem for businesses. In jiu hu, done overcome this by turning bungalows in urban areas into restaurants. Business will boom
