The fighter's ability to remain safe while firing a missile depends on the mission requirements and the type of missile it is equipped with. If the missile has a long range (up to 1,000 km), the fighter can launch it from outside Iranian airspace. Conversely, if the missile has a shorter range, the fighter must fly closer to the target thus endanger himself.
