Bus services in S'pore keep us waiting with slow and crowded buses

STOMPer Wan Seng is appalled at the situation of public transport these days. Long waiting times for buses and price hikes are apparently some of the factors for his complaint.

The STOMPer said in an email:

"Things are getting worse.

"Not all passengers, including myself, were able to board the bus and had to wait for the next one.

"Going down earlier to wait for your bus doesn't make any difference.

"So where's the improvement?

"It is getting worse.

"So is SBS Transit going to deploy more buses for service 55 during the peak hours?

"I believe this happens island-wide.

"If a hub and spoke system is going to be implemented, this will make the current situation even worse.

"Our trains can't even handle crowds during peak hours now.

"For those who have direct buses to their destinations, it will be very inconvenient.

"For the majority of us, the journey time for us is long due to waiting tine for the bus, not the distance travelled.

"To encourage us to take the public transport more often, please do something about the waiting time.

"Don't encourage us for the sake of encouraging.

"Price hikes, long waiting times, bus captains driving at crawling speed - all this factors will turn us off.

"The elites won't understand how we feel.

"Only profits matter to them."

But SINkingporeans were told to be CHEAPER!, how to pay more, when your pay is getting lesser???

You have to work, faster, gets better for whom? & pay more for government, transportation, utilities, town council fees and so forth??? :p
