That's the whole idea. After receiving a Michelin award, can cut corners, charge a premium and go on 'autopilot' mode. Many idiots and tourists will still queue up. I was one of them, I witnessed the transition of the soy sauce chicken rice stall at Chinatown Complex hawker centre, long before it was famous and each plate was priced at only $2.

The one at the hawker centre is priced differently from the one at the Smith Street shop :biggrin:.

I have seen a Hawker Chan restaurant along the Pattaya beach some years ago.

Smith Street shop is a place where the tour guides bring tourists to dine.

Hawker Chan even before Michelin famous weren’t fantastic either. Though It always had a queue coz they were well known for being cheap and value for money.
