The germans cannot compete on price and quality wise already at par. If you get into a japanese car, you know its cheap. But you get into a Chinese car, its cheap but the quality is far higher.

Buyers look for value. Chinese EVs are great value (cheaper and higher quality as you mentioned). Although this is not the case in sg, where EV prices as just as crazy as ICE cars.

I beg to differ. The exterior looks dated and boring (having seen the gorgeous designs of chinese EVs these days). I prefer the look of the current GLCs. As for interior, yep they copied the chinese.
