as stated, they can write their memoirs with juicy details for big bucks, join the academia just like another tiong-twat wang gung wu or hold prominent positions like george in hkg kerry group till they outlast their usefulness. or remain in mfa like mabubani or chan heng chee - who is still revered by us politicians and provides her wisdom and guidance in regard to our us relations. they are not game-changers or policy makers but will be comfortable for the rest of their lives.
