At Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) in Malaysia, an Indian tourist stopped at McDonald’s for a quick meal. She ordered a burger, assuming it was vegetarian—similar to the veggie options commonly available at McDonald’s outlets in India, where vegetarian items are clearly marked.

When she opened the box, she was shocked to find the burger contained beef. Distressed and emotional, she said the menu did not clearly indicate that the burger was non-vegetarian, leaving her feeling confused and misled.

McDonald’s staff explained that in Malaysia, vegetarian burgers are generally not part of the standard menu, and most burgers are made with beef or chicken. However, the tourist said she assumed the menu would be similar to what she was used to in India.

A video of the incident was recorded and quickly went viral online. Reactions were mixed—some people felt she should have checked the ingredients more carefully, while others argued that clearer labeling would help international travelers avoid such misunderstandings.

Kumlan CECA can't read English is it...cheebye...always act victim :FU:

The worst scumbags to accommodate for working lunches are those CECAs. It's always some vegetarian bullshit and some are as specific as to demanding that the cookware can't be used to cook meat dishes.

She just want a free meal in the form of 'apology' coupons.

McDonalds should put this on the menu again. Adjusted for Sinkie inflation, it should be around $4 now.
