Problem is, PAP won't pay a single cent for all the mountains of existing cans now just because they have no special bar code for the 10 cents surcharge, which will only be printed on cans once the scheme officially begins later this year. That's dogmatic bureaucracy for you. It's not about saving the environment, it's about stupid bureaucracy.
 
I would love to see the day when uncles & aunties fight over collecting the 10 cents deposit cans from coffee shops & food courts
