HCI canteen bento thread

Protein is expensive. Carbs are cheap as dirt so coolie food consists mainly of high GI carbs (as in picture) for burst of energy after meals required for carrying sacks of rice or pulling the rickshaw etc... Not enough protein, bring your own whey protein supplements to school to differentiate between high SES and coolies.

High SES will packed lunch to school and none of these ketchup laced, carbs overdose food.

last time when we go sch we envy ppl who buy food, and we are poor to only be able to pack lunch to school

how tides have changed, nowadays the high ses has helpers who wakes up super early to prepare their lunches and bring to school for them

Or go 7 eleven buy the instant meals. Or also can mass order from cai fan store that type that sells to industrial workers

There are some nice eateries near their school in the Bukit Timah area.

But I highly doubt students today are released at around 12pm or 1pm, otherwise skipping lunch or having a meal outside school would be options.
