HK woman arrested for false rape claim over unpaid MOP4,000​

A 20-year-old Hong Kong woman has been arrested in Macau for allegedly making a false rape report following a sexual encounter with a 35-year-old mainland man on Christmas Eve (Dec 24).

Authorities said the woman claimed she had been raped after the man failed to pay her MOP4,000 as agreed. Investigation found no evidence of resistance or injury, and her claim was deemed false, leading to her arrest for making a false accusation.

Police also discovered that the man had secretly photographed the woman while she was changing, which may violate privacy laws. He was stopped at the Border Gate while attempting to leave Macau, admitted withholding the payment, but denied any sexual assault.

Sources say the pair met earlier this month and conducted a first paid sexual encounter at a hotel. On December 24, they returned for a second encounter, after which the man delayed and refused payment.
