Good! Such a sinful establishment ought not to have an outlet here in the first place. Perhaps now they can rent the vacant space to a church.

If don't close then I worLee.
You don't mix sex with food, silly.

And worst still,.what can you do with hooters chickens?

Sad miserable place the last time I went there many years ago. There were only diners on 3-4 tables at dinner time on a weekday.

Actually if the food is good, then it’s still ok not to have those gimmicks. The wings are not too bad, but the rest are kinda shit.

About 25 years ago, I noticed a few attractive waitresses with nice legs and figures, but Hooters seemed to be scraping the bottom of the barrel for the past 10 years or so in terms of staff.

The whole night scene is dead in Clarke Quay. Nowadays the youths are not into those clubbing or drinking alcohol. How to survive?

Coffee Clubbing: The Rise Of Daytime Dance Parties In Singapore

post-coffee-clubbing-in-singapore-thumb.jpg.webp

In the bustling city-state of Singapore, a new trend is brewing – quite literally. Coffee clubbing, also known as sober clubbing, coffee raves or daytime caffeine-clubbing, is redefining the nightlife scene by offering high-energy dance parties powered by caffeine instead of alcohol.
The movement is gaining traction, especially among Gen Z and millennials seeking a healthier, more affordable alternative to traditional nightclubs.

Coffee clubbing is an alcohol-free, daytime dance party that combines specialty coffee with curated music, creating a vibrant social atmosphere without the typical hangover.

These events typically take place in the afternoon or early evening, and are held in unconventional venues such as cafes, rooftops, and even shopping malls.

Attendees sip on pour-overs and espresso drinks (or even matcha lattes) while grooving to DJ sets, embracing a sober lifestyle that prioritises wellness and intentional socialising. The vibe is energetic yet relaxed, attracting those who want to connect with others over a shared love of music and coffee.

These sober daytime raves are not unique to Singapore. Internationally, events by New York’s Daybreaker and London’s Morning Gloryville have paved the way for this trend. These gatherings emphasise community, wellness, and fun without the need for alcohol.

Their events quickly gained popularity. A large-scale gathering at Funan mall in August 2025, dubbed the “biggest sober party in Singapore”, gained widespread attention.
Attending a coffee clubbing event is a unique blend of specialty coffee, curated dance tracks, an energetic yet relaxed atmosphere, and a community of like-minded individuals.
Several factors contribute to the rise of coffee clubbing in Singapore. The main driver is a greater focus on health and wellness by the younger generations.

Many of them are adopting a “sober curious” approach – re-examining their relationship with social drinking and exploring socialising without alcohol. Coffee clubbing offers a way to enjoy music and dancing while maintaining mental clarity and physical well-being.

Affordability is another factor. Traditional nightclubs often come with high cover charges and expensive drinks. Coffee clubbing events are typically more budget-friendly, making them accessible to a wider audience. A $7 flat white, though by no means cheap, is still more affordable than a pint.

Then there is the matter of convenience. Daytime events allow attendees to enjoy the party atmosphere without disrupting their sleep schedules or dealing with late-night transportation issues (we all know how expensive taxi and ride-hailing fares are now these days). This makes coffee clubbing an appealing option for those with early commitments the next day.

The community and connection also play a big part. Coffee clubbing fosters a sense of community, providing a safe space for individuals to connect over shared interests.

The inclusive and non-judgmental environment appeals to those seeking meaningful social interactions without the influence of alcohol, since drinking culture can often alienate non-drinkers.

As the trend continues to grow, coffee clubbing is expected to evolve into larger-scale events and even daylong festivals. This shift reflects a broader movement towards wellness-oriented social experiences that prioritise health, community, and meaningful connections.

As the acceptance of clubbing without the need for alcohol grows, just like it has internationally, the coffee clubbing (or sober partying in general) scene is only expected to rise along with it.
