I received a message from a fellow local football fan who stated that S'poreans who go overseas are ambassadors of our country. This clueless Minister behaved like an idiot, and someone must have told him that his insults tarnished the image of S'pore. David Neo is unworthy to represent our country anywhere in the world. Just because he heard insults from the HK fans, does not justify him referring to them as idiots. Anyone who has encountered Neo during NS will testify that he is known for throwing tantrums and pulling rank in the SAF. It is embarrassing to see the Acting Minister for Culture behaving in such an uncultured manner. He is a disgrace to S'pore! All locals, and not just football fans, wish to disassociate ourselves from him.
