This is where real charity money is to be put to use.

If you see these people on the streets, give a little of what you have. Instead of those Charity "organisation" with unchecked moral standings, filled with loop hole administrative policy.

A govt in such a small country with great national reserve and you wonder why they refuse to take over the welfare for these old folks.

but if you are poor don't give. Let the rich bear the consequences of their deeds in the next life to come.

I don't know about "great national reserve". Remember our past Prez ONG who asked the citizens to check on the nationa reserves?

I really do not know about using the word "GREAT".

But back to the current topic. It is quite obvious they only help very little; enuff to highlight to the PRESS and public they are indeed helping the poor.

ALL these whilst taking away more and more of our CPF monies with CPF LIFE. Left hand to right hand? Or more likely, one more hole duh so need another manhole cover. .

Theres strong evidence that there is a department of statistics calculating the BARE minimum a person can survive with X amount of salary per month. From that they weave their policies cutting conerners here and there until you leave with a bare minimum. So that the majority will have just enough just like the olden days of slavery.

The pictures you see are I believe what the statisticians call "statistical arbitrage" - sort of low probability events. They wont be foolish enough to suck us dry but enough to maintain the "SLAVE MODE".

BTW national reserve in the late ninities was about $125 Billion. Not sure now tho. but thats alot to a small population.
