STOMPer Fleeced paid $6.50 for a barely-filling plate of Nasi Lemak at Singapore Expo. He felt that it was a rip-off for the little ingredients of the dish.
Said the STOMPer:
"Today I visited the Electronics & IT Show at Singapore Expo and subsequently visited the food court to eat my lunch.
"I ordered a plate of Nasi Lemak which consisted of rice, a piece of cucumber, a small fish, a thin slice of otah and some kangkong.
"To my surprise I was asked to pay $6.50 for a plate of rice which hardly filled my stomach.
"I paid up as I did not want to create a scene because of the queue.
"This, to my memory, was the most expensive Nasi Lemak I had eaten in all my life.
"It was a rip off and the hawker had the cheek to tell me it was the usual price."
