after all these months when COVID ended .... can see NUS no government but just a bunch of business towkays doing money business niah ... :whistling:

NUS office is already a retirement village, to begin with
Flexible work allows employees to manage personal commitments, leading to better job satisfaction and mental well-being. I wonder how many employers (especially in the private sector) actually believe in this?

No happy can fuck off
A flexible work hours policy allows employees to vary their start and end times, but with a stipulated number of core hours when everyone must be present. It seems to work pretty well in my company, but a few irresponsible staff do take advantage. MC days have dropped, but I suspect because many of the staff are getting more rest with WFH.

NUS employees can always let off steam at one of the two budget hotels nearby.

This is just like what @laksaboy has mentioned in previous posts...shackles applied so you can't move and think out of the box, esp for married couples where both are part of the sandwich generation...imagine you wfh or work less hours and due to this have positive mental and physical health where you keep coming up with creative ideas to solve problems and make your manager or bosses look bad in the process?

No boss would want a subordinate who outshines him. If we keep coming up with fresh and creative ideas, our boss will start viewing us as a threat and suppress our development in the company.

Actually there are three hotels there.

Fragrace Hotel Ocean View
The Quay Hotel
Ibis Budget West Coast

They are all next to one another. Rooms available by the hour. Always crowded on Sunday, some of the maid+serf couples waiting outside or sitting at the nearby bus stop. Don't forget to say hello to them if you encounter them.
