The exit polls have Maduro losing by a landslide.
66.6% for opposition leader Edmundo Gonzalez and 30.86% for Nicolas Maduro.

In May 2020, a failed coastal raid, known as Operation Gideon, was carried out by two American mercenaries in an attempt to capture President Nicolás Maduro. This incident drew parallels with a previous failed coup attempt in 2002, which briefly ousted President Hugo Chávez from power, prompting criticism of the U.S. government's actions at the time.

Or to divert attention from Iran which US is very reluctant to go into war with.

He is hesitant to engage in war, as there are two powerful allies behind supporting Venezuela, and is instead opting to send additional warships and B-2 bombers to provide support. Now the ball is in the US court, how is the captain commanding his player to serve the ball
