I feel both countries are different in how they run the country and in the end, Japan always tops us. Why?
Japan got Toyota, Nissan, Honda, Sanyo, Mitsubishi.
Singapore got.....
Japan do not need FT to improve their economy but Singapore needs them. Why?
Japan LDP has been in power for a long time, but at least they change their leaders at a consistent basis. Ours...

Japan have freedom of speech but Singapore, we do not need freedom of speech in case we go disorderly. But Japan is still much better than us.
Lastly, Japanese politician commit suicide when uncovered to be corrupted.
Singapore politician found to be corrupted, hence the solution, INCREASE MINISTER's PAY so that they will not pocket money from companies, but from the people.
