Firstly he doesn't realise the people that call themselves Jews, in Israel today have very little ancestry to the Jews of Moses' time. If anything, they're more European than middle eastern. In fact Palestinians have more Jew genes, and stayed in the area since then, just that they have converted to Islam.
Secondly, most of those Zionist are atheists. Most never touched, read, understand their own Torah. Unlike the orthodox who practise it daily and find verses that prohibits them from setting up a homeland.
