As a teenager of the 1980s and a young adult of the 90s, I recall having so much more to do like having to go out to meet friends, watch movies, attend sports events, have meals, shop, pick up groceries, do banking etc. Nowadays, it seems like almost all these transactions may be carried out online. Work may also be performed in the comfort of our home 1-2 days per week. Is it any wonder why there are so many singles these days? Many people do not even know how to make friends besides those online.
