One of the first local Apache attack helicopter RSAF pilots, this 51-year-old retired RSAF LTC....now selling Yong Tau Foo at NEWest mall

Good to stay active dun mean need to worl
Pls dun be pap parrot collect cardboard is exercise
Work is call work precisely coz it’s not leisure
Retirees can be more busy than when working but doing things totally unrelated to work.
No one wants to be like Lky “work’ till the grave but then again Lky work is emperor who also can do until die
LKY where got work in the last few years of his life? Lan Lan must leech SM money and MP money for doing nothing. He was in hospital and in medical office more then he was in MPS. In fact, anyone saw him in MPS the last 2 years of his life or not? The mouth open big like a fish, what work could he have done?

Nobody love their job except maybe a male gynaecologist. These folks got no life outside work that’s why they only know work.
If you are a 60-year-old pilot on Vietjet, would you retire early or continue to get paid to fly with these beauties?

LHL is doing the same thing now drawing down taxpayers' $$$ while doing jack shit.

My experience with most oldies are usually leeches & Deadwood, forming clichés & afraid to let go of their rice bowl with little of zero motivation since their career path is already stagnant. just过日子nia. No new ideas but actually continue to make the young ones leave the coy since management has no choice but to continue keeping them. Coy can't grow with oldies that has no more energy to move the coy forward.
Unless you are in the Civil Service where there is a lot of deadwood, both young and old, senior employees would be laid off if they are not contributing as much as their younger colleagues in the private sector.

Not so easy to grow new shoots with oldies in the coy. The clichés already set. Need to root out one by one. That's where restructuring is needed to weed out villages.

Businesses discover that they are unable to adequately replace key long term employees who understand the organisation, its clients and critical processes; these are not deadwood. The result may be a decrease in revenue as well as productivity. Extensive restructuring may briefly lift an organisation’s performance in the stock market, but in the long term, most companies do not realise improved overall financial performance.

We are talking about anything less than a manager...
Very few are key personnel. Furthermore, a company has to have renewal every year to stop the start of rot.

Having been in the private sector for most of my working life, deadwood in non-managerial roles are weeded out quickly. The same does not apply to the Civil Service though.

When they wear the one-piece overall uniform, it's clear that they are from the Air Force. They look confidence and pride, setting them apart from the rest of the army personnel with their distinctive attire.

Many older workers carry on at the office because they wish to continue contributing, love the work they do and wish to remain mentally active. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that.
BS these losers cling on coz their pathetic jobs is what’s left that give their pathetic lives meaning.
They enjoy the perks of the job due to their seniority and position. Give their lives some semblance of meaning and structure coz basically no life outside of work. Even their wives and kids see them no up. Only at work they still got some pride and command some fake respect

Koo Tsai Kee, scholar, academic, and later Minister of State, did the MPS for LKY for many years.
