In true islam, ummah is greater than country. True muslims are more loyal their islamic coummunity than their own country. Even if malaysia were to have armed conflict with a shiite muslim country, those minority malays in the army who are shiites and in sensitive posts or holding high military ranks, they may turn their backs against malaysia.

SG should never fail to scrutinize the background of muslims holding high ranks or in sensitive units. Best is not to let them in. Malay muslims, Indian muslims or Chinese muslims, they are all the same in being susceptible to being radicalized and responding to jihad calls.
