Ahh I know.
This is cool safe style, been there for many years.
I used to dress like this in my John lone days when I go clubbing killing many girls.
But I was leefering to the top one.
As the bottom one doesn't suit most Asian, except abc

Depends on where you are going to. If it's just to the nearby hawker center or kopitiam, I'll just wear t-shirt, shorts and slippers. Want to show off to who?
Ahh, last time after I became a cp kid, I wanted to show off to the streets gang members along the coffeeshops, who used to bully me while I was a pri sch boy, to test their leeaction de woh.
So I purposely took a route to that area, it showed some leesult that they didn't dared to play punk with me anymore, but most likely they couldn't leecognise me as one of their target several years back.

Dressing for comfort does not mean looking sloppy or unkempt. Putting on acceptable apparel has absolutely nothing to do with showing off. How did you come to that conclusion?

Define sloppy and unkempt.

Don’t mind me for saying but wearing shoes without socks is kinda of a put off

To each his own. I mostly wear Sperry dock shoes. You know how ugly wearing Bermuda's and dock shoes with socks?

No one wear socks with docks unless it’s the below ankle socks. Kids wear socks with sandals these days

After those locked on fashions ended, I could no longer follow any fashion, and that's when I started to dress casually with t-shirt and Bermuda.

But I didn't expected that in the mid 90s, fashion could be extended to riding a motosikal, specifically a scooter, preferaby either a vespa or a skipper.
Without further waiting , I was into it and once again, I found anothet new "gang" that could be seen easily over the island.
The new gang is 躺平.

Slip ons and sandals are the main identifier, but no flip flops.

Asking for a friend, how can a fat guy dress smartly & casual when they sweat like a pig most of the time ?

Wear dark colour shirts where the sweat spots isn’t obvious and make them run 2.4KM and lose that fat

IMHO, the dress fashionably syndrome had already ended in the late 80s, shortly after the cp kid era, followed by another short stint of America billboard chart copycats like bros, dp etc. that ended in the early 90s.

I was locked on to the mentioned fashion sensed from 1983 to 1991.
After that period to today's fashion , there were no more real fashion to follow, purely freestyles and looking like shit.
When i observe how school kids dress in their sch uniform nowadays, I also notice everyone dress the same sch uniform, with a standard haircut.
Unlike during my time, we would tailor made baggy pants with pletes, with punk hairdo.
I wonder is it becos the sch now is more strict on the dress code or the sch going kids no longer has fashion sense.

The top as well? It’s kind of uncle-ish. Like what my 60 plus year old classmate would wear. We young ones wear Korean baggy tshirts or anything from saf PT days.

That kind of dressing is for Gen Z young punks. You're still a small boy.
