What happened here?

Question: Is this a case of suicide? If so, it is a terrible waste of her own life.

Let me offer my humble expertise. This case easily claim under WICA (Work Injury Compensation Act ) or Common Law
Foreign employee usually on WP can only choose either one of the above mentioned

WICA:
1) Claim for medical expenses, loss of income, hospitalisation etc. (Easy peasy)
2) Claim under temporary incapacitation
3) Claim under permanent incapacitation (usually a lump sum and case closed)

Common Law:
1) Get a lawyer and fight it out at civil court (not so common)

Commentary (Speculations)
It's quite obvious that she CANNOT afford insurance coverage OR did not renew the insurance coverage in time. (I don't know, just speculating. Since, I don't have access to her accounts). Last possibility is she did not set a lump sum for the unforeseen. I would recommend least 20K.

Getting unsecured loan from licensed moneylenders might be able to tide her through till the FT's medical expenses till they have been reimbursed (if FT decided to claim WICA)

Another speculation it seems that this FT probably tried to claim under common law. This might be the reason why she suicided.

Conclusion
1) No money, don't start a business
2) Always renew / pay your insurance premiums on time

3a) Don't hire those Indians with education. Kaur seems to be those Northern Indians with some education.
3b) Indians with some education = Snakes, regardless north or south
3c) 2 points above are reality, not speculation. I had 2 encounters and it's more than enough. That's why majority of the lawyers in SG are Indians. (But they use this for a constructive use)

4) all my above points stand true for MOST of them. And I have no remorse nor feel apologetic. Stereotyping exists for a reason.
Sad

Dear @sbfuncle, in Jane Lee's Facebook post:

I noticed the following paragraph:

so I'm just wondering whether the "doctors" should also be investigated...
They were the ones who certified the "injuries", right?

Indeed. I think the investigation would include the loctor.
If the loctor simply diagnosed her injury and condition based on physical checks without any layliology imaging, he will need to be proved further.
But most of the time , loctor would only make lecommendation.
Like the lady that I suspected that was out to cheat her insurance company after a fall from escalator, leefused to have scans done and only opted for physiotherapy.

I just find this Jane too weak and wasted a life.
Her case has a high chance to win yet she took her life even before any investigation was carried out.
Sad

When MOM starts investigating, the law firm involved will also come to light. Some of my lawyer friends already know which form. They do mainly personal injuries work for banglas and shitskins.

Jane Lee is from disadvantage family
Otherwise her family would have hired SC to protect her legal right

I heard a hilarious account from a friend's daughter who used to be an SQ flight attendant. She said that on flights from India, passengers who needed wheelchairs would be prioritised for boarding, getting seated and their luggage stowed. The moment the Indian wheelchair patients landed, they were "miraculously healed" allowing them to exit first w/o any assistance from crutches, wheelchairs or even walking sticks!

It is the same story everywhere
The govt lies about "S'poreans First" in areas like jobs, education, housing and healthcare. This means policies are not designed to ensure S'porean citizens have preferential access or benefits. Many S'poreans still feel intense competition for jobs, especially in certain sectors, leading to a perception that "S'poreans First" isn't true at all.

Argentines and Brazilians are learning from CECAs how to fake disability.
