Saw this at another post. Seems like this Dr Kang is quite nasty

Dr Kang looks like a caring Doctor with a compassion heart for the marginalised in the society ...

After completing his Master’s degree in Family Medicine, Dr Gary Kang answered a long-held calling to serve Singapore’s most marginalised patients, and chose public healthcare over private practice.

In 2019, he was appointed Clinic Director of SingHealth Polyclinics (SHP) – Sengkang, a new role that came with new challenges. “I was essentially placed in charge of Sengkang Polyclinic,” Dr Kang recalls. “It wasn’t enough just to be competent anymore. I wouldn’t succeed unless I learned senior leadership competencies in management, operations, and finance.”

Dr Kang needed hands-on knowledge like strategies, frameworks, and decision-making paradigms that could be immediately applied to his work. He also sought to hear first-hand leadership stories from those in similar positions.

His desire to upskill led Dr Kang to the Executive MBA (EMBA) programme at Nanyang Business School. The 13-month programme provided critical support as he took on the added responsibilities of his new leadership role.

Coming into his own as a SingHealth Polyclinics leader

The knowledge Dr Kang gained during the Nanyang EMBA’s modules was immediately applied in his new role. He used the frameworks he learned during the programme to plan long-term budgets, improve processes, adjust strategies, and iron out structural issues.

Strengthening his personal relationships, in and beyond the workplace

For Dr Kang, one of the Nanyang EMBA’s key legacies was the ability to connect to others on a deep, meaningful level – both in and beyond the workplace.

“When I was a younger doctor, I used to write to my superiors with critiques and suggestions. They took all feedback constructively and groomed me to be a healthcare leader. I want to be the kind of leader who can do the same for the next generation,” says Dr Kang.

Even with his expanded responsibilities within SHP, Dr Kang continues to actively flatten his organisation’s structure so that even the most junior clinic staff can feel comfortable approaching him directly with their concerns.

The network he gained from the EMBA has proved its long-lasting value. “It was more than a network, actually,” he says. “At Nanyang Business School, I found true friends in fellow leaders who truly understand what I am struggling with and know how to support me.”

To this day, Dr Kang continues to keep in touch with members from his cohort. When one of them needs advice, they would all join a Zoom call to hash it out. With a smile, he remarks, “This is the kind of invaluable connection that I will keep with me for many years to come.”

No choice bro.
Sbf is like that de woh.
I have to watch my own ass also and do the necessary when is deemed fit.
I even invited a 1on1 fight before. FYI

For me, going polyclinic is primarily not to see doctor but using the visit to get cheaper subsidized medication. And of course much cheaper blood test and other laboratory tests.
Seriously for me, other than reading images and the physical surgeries, I don't see much value any loctor can provide, especially now with chatbot.

It is only a matter on the magnitude and accuracy of the guess.
Some can be real bad.

I have fully observed that becos of their rights, they can start to be "lazy".
And being lazy can surface in many different forms.

They put up the posters everywhere in the vicinity.
If they doesn't have a problem with themselves, why they fear in the first place.
Or do they mean the patients or the world is always wrong while they are always right.
Or becos the patient need their services, so they have the right to do this.
What you say is true. My friend questioned the SKH QSM staff why are there notices of abuse and harassment when their healthcare workers have been shouting at her in the first place

They questioned her instead is she coming to the clinic in the next visit or get their hotline staff to keep calling her to ask whether she is visiting

During her next visit to the physio, the director confronted my friend at the counter and the HOD made a scene in front of other patients with security officers to try to scare and intimidate my friend instead

My friend did an iwitness report. The first female police Officer was very rude towards my friend making a lot of accusations at her and me and other friends heard the conversation over the phone

The next police officer whom my friend spoke to over the phone questioned my friend when is she going down to the polyclinic etc and claims they knows which dates she is going down to the polyclinic and hospital and warn her to TAKE CARE.

And everywhere she goes in the SingHealth group polyclinic and hospital, the healthcare workers all end with a Take care as well. It’s too much to create so much a a scene and so much of harm n stress to my friend

In fact personally, I have also seen how some bad healthcare workers can just be very mean towards some patients at the counter and in the polyclinic. Just that they bear with it because they need that kind of medical help or too old and alone and not very educated. The typical kind which likely gets picked on

How do you explain S. Iswaran then?

the truth hurts, doesn't it cunt?
It doesn’t because your insult shows what kind of pathetic person you are and expose more about Dr Kang and yourself. A mirror doesn’t exists for all you nasty people because you all will never ever reflect and go on bullying and bullying other patients.

Exactly. I have heard of this really bad doctor who did a lot of not so gd stuff to patients and in the end he suffered a lot like even his own doctor colleagues and he himself as a doctor can’t help himself.

This is for people who are high and mighty to try bully and twist what they see as easy targets and eventually one day… well, I can only wish these people take care.

The truth will hurt for you and your very kind one day. Will wait for the day where one day u can’t even help yourself, you want to end your suffering and sickness but can’t leave. I wish you and your very kind take care when that day comes for you all.

ThomasEddy is Christine Tan
I am not Christine Tan. If I am Christine Tan, why would she go and smash her own iron rice bowl here. Like its easy for her to be lazy because they are all very protected

Dr Kang already prejudiced towards my friend because she is a female, alone and a patient by disrespecting her and framing and chasing her with security guards

We the public are equally prejudiced towards Dr Gary Kang and his very kind based on what we see and hear.

Full of bullying air this Dr Kang to get his SingHealth and MOH hotline staff all shout at my friend over the phone, threaten her and refusing to answer any her questions

Dr Kang’s SingHealth hotline staff have the cheek to tell my friend they issued her letter of warning so they will be given a chance to do their jobs better (by mistreating my friend in their ways and threatening to deny her of treatment in the future.) - Sure this is the kind of doctor with compassion for the marginalised in the society as so called Dr Kang can talk and talk

Those staff who saw only say SORRY to my friend who was visibly shocked and affected to be BULLIED RAW by Dr Gary Kang and all his staff hanging up against her by using the several security officers and more staff including the police officers which my friend had no choice but call them to come down because she was so afraid

Yes, we all hear that, some of us saw that as well and also so many patients around saw how he and his bad staff humiliated and bullied my friend and hearsay he do that to many other patients as well.

Hearsay too Dr Kang look down on some patients and only treat those who were ex civil servants ultra nice according to this retired ex civil servant staff who always visit him yet another retired patient describe Dr Kang as mean all full and bias towards him to dismiss his condition.

This is the actual kind of leadership Dr Kang doing together with his directors to issue letter of warning and threaten POHA at my friend so they can save their horrible asses.

Dr Gary used to write suggestion on improvements to his higherups.

We heard the conversation, Dr Kang is ultra lazy to ask Christine Tan to ask my friend for ideas for improvement when my friend went down to their SHP HQ hoping to clear the air peacefully and Dr Kang n his SHP Christine Tan staff still have the cheek to be opportunistic to take other patient’s idea to copy and paste it as his own to his superiors to rub more ego and present it on his very own. Very gd. So now we know where Dr Kang’s various ideas of improvement comes from.

Btw, Christine Tan is also very equally evil by telling my friend she will get people to call my friend every hour to disturb my friend knowing she is working

My friend trusted Christine Tan who is from SHP outpatient experience office to tell Christine a shocking and traumatic about an incident at Sengkang polyclinic where my friend was roughly handed and examined a male doctor and an Indian nurse for her piles or bleeding.

When my friend got frustrated at one point n visibly upset about the incident, Christine Tan evilly told my friend there will be NO APOLOGY letter BECAUSE I say so and when my friend told her she will just go to another polyclinic, Christine Tan says all SHP polyclinics will treat my friend badly

My friend confronted the male rude Dr who decided to be evil to get a security officer to station outside the room to intimidate my friend knowing that it will be a huge issue for the male doctor that he had mistreated my friend, humiliated and insulted my friend a female patient’s dignity and we all were listening to the conversation.

My friend also spoke to Dr Chang Zi Ying the Director of Sengkang Polyclinic which we all listen to the full conversations and Dr Chang, raised her voice at my friend several times and threaten to delay my friend’s medical treatment with the colorectal specialist appointment at SGH and SKH

Dr Chang Zi Ying also claims my friend’s private parts were exposed during the piles examination by the male doctor and after my friend called their hotline to feedback, Dr Chang Zi Ying also send another letter of warning to my friend to accuse her of humiliating, making unreasonable requests and harassing the staff

Dr Esther Lee got a male staff to stalk after my friend at the Polyclinic in one visit and yes, we saw and several patients were around

After that calls to the SingHealth hotline made by my friend, the staff all continued to be very nasty towards her

Followed by Dr Esther Lee the assistant director who yell at my friend What is your point and Dr Lee and another male doctor accused my friend of trying to frame her in front of other patients and Dr Lee got 2 nurses to chase my friend away from the polyclinic again in front of so many patients.

Pure abuse, intimidation and threats by this Sengkang polyclinic management. There is more on Punggol Polyclinic and Tampines North Polyclinic based on my friend who already avoided Sengkang polyclinic but still kena thanks to this evil Christine Tan

This is your Dr Gary Kang everyone. They push my friend from one Director to another and Dr Gary Kang does not even care nor bother to know what what happened as long as SHIT does not happen to his polyclinic.

Obviously Dr Kang is so afraid that this will be the end of his illustrious career based on the article post above and tell his entire entourage of staff to GO AFTER with obvious Vengeance and anger at my friend

If they all can cover up just cover up and expect poor patients who have BAD EXPERIENCE to shut up

Dr Kang without hesitation bully and threaten patients with all his staff. He has plenty of hot air and arrogance.
