My condo's security guards are 1/2 asleep most of the time, but they come alive when deliverymen and PHV drivers enter our premises. The guards seem to enjoy bullying these workers. I guess when they are near the bottom of the food chain, they have to lord it over those below them.

Many years ago, a friend shared how she came home early from work one day to detect the presence of a man in her condo. Her maid seemed unusually nervous too, so my friend called the security post to send a guard up to her unit. When he arrived, a Bangla (the maid's BF) rushed out of the apartment and pushed over the elderly security personnel. In the end, my friend had to call an ambulance for the injured guard before alerting the police.

The CCTV won't sleep on the job like almost all security personnel. The guards at my condo look older than most of the retirees living there.

Over the years, I have developed good tactics to deal with security guards
1. U must not scold vulgarity
2. U must not use physical force
3. U must not shout at them

4. If they nasty to u, u should ask them what rules that u have broken and whether the security guards have any sop and u must insist to see their sop.

5. If they continue to be nasty, u ask them to call police and u should stand there.

6. If they still nasty, u call police


7. Generally security guards will give in to u once u ask them to call police and talk about laws, rules and sop with them.

However, remember bro, no shouting , no vulgarity, no middle finger and no physical.

So security guards usually don’t want to do this.
