DERA ISMAIL KHAN - Three suspected terrorists were killed in a powerful explosion on Thursday while allegedly assembling an improvised explosive device (IED) in the village of Kot Kandiyan, located in Tehsil Kulachi of Dera Ismail Khan. According to police, the blast occurred during the device’s preparation, killing all three individuals on the spot. The preliminary investigations suggest the suspects were planning a terrorist attack when the explosives accidentally detonated. Following the incident, the security forces and the Bomb Disposal Squad swiftly reached the site, cordoned off the area, and collected forensic evidence. A large-scale search operation was subsequently launched in and around the vicinity. The police have identified two of the deceased. One, Sahib Khan, was a resident of District Tank, while the second, Turab, hailed from South Waziristan.
