To stay competitive, PMET jobs to go to FTs, said PAP.

Tan See Leng is lying through his teeth. My present and previous companies have Filipinos, Indians, Vietnamese, PRCs and Malaysians in HR, IT, Finance, Business Development, QM and Procurement that could have been easily filled by S'poreans.
You want him to use the Andy lau quotes again?

What would happen to the MOM Minister in other countries, if out of 88,400 new jobs created, 83,500 jobs went to foreigners instead of locals? Promoted or 砍头?

S'pore near 'full employment', foreigners took on jobs that S'poreans 'don't want to do': Tan See Leng
In 2023, employment in Singapore grew by 88400, with 83500 jobs going to non-residents.
Not true that foreigners took jobs that Singaporeans don't want to do. Many PMETs getting retrenched, replaced by foreigners. These Singaporeans in the end became insurance agents, property agents, grab and delivery drivers, thats why "full employment."
When Tan See Leng was CEO and MD of Parkway Holdings and Parkway Pantai Ltd, the company retrenched large numbers of PMEs (especially the older staff) with only their notice period as compensation in spite of the publicly-listed company doing so well. TSL used to take home $11.9 million per year (including bonuses), but saw it fit to lay off subordinates who earned a fraction of his obscene wages.

I agree too. Sinkies should fark off.
Some Sinkies do deserve to be fucked as you said. My friend became extremely bitter after he got retrenched; he blamed everyone from his former employer to CECA to his wife and the PAP. Instead of trying to land another PME job, he started being envious of everyone in his small circle of friends because they either still have PME jobs, are financially secure, retired with enough set aside, live in condos, own a car etc. It was hardly surprising that his wife left him.

This is a very valid statement for pap to say.
Sinkies need to compete with fts, hence sinkies need to stay competitive.

It is the time when sinkies give up I.e stop vying for posts with Ft,
Then pap cannot use this statement anymore.

Only the PAP ministers do not need to compete with foreign talents. LOL!

you all 65% and you children deserves the future you voted for, fools

SINGAPORE - Today’s graduates are not doomed if they study engineering, despite a poor job market.

This belief has long been held by British inventor James Dyson, 78, who has been thinking of bringing to Singapore his company’s degree apprenticeship programme in engineering, where undergraduates earn a salary and pay no fees.

“A country’s wealth is established by engineers and scientists,” the British inventor and billionaire entrepreneur told The Straits Times in a rare one-on-one interview on June 30 at the former St James Power Station, now

the global headquarters of Dyson

, the consumer electronics company he founded.
