The PAP practices meritocracy which does not benefit underperforming Malays who are unable to compete on a level-playing field with the other races and foreigners. Malays expect handouts like their counterparts in Malaysia enjoy. They love the Dire Straits' song "Money for Nothing".
Spoilt votes = not voting at all. Just stop voting and your name will be expunged from the Register of Electors. Saves you and your family lots of time.

Just skip voting for one GE. Your name will be taken out of the Register. All subsequent elections you don't have to vote, no polling card will be sent to you.
A spoilt vote = absent vote. Because it's 0% contribution to either the PAP or oppo vote. It is your right to cast a spoilt vote, but since the end result is the same as not voting, then do it the simpler way by going on a holiday and not vote at all.
I remember entertainer Fadzri Abd Rashid once mention this uncle who spends his day hanging around the void deck, and when Fadzri asked him why he doesn't go out, the senior said: "I have no money". When asked why he doesn't look for a job, the uncle replied: "No time". Fadzri lamented that it was the typical "Malay excuse" not to work. LOL!
