it's EMF, same sound that you hear when you are in an electrical switch room when there's power running.

For some BYD models, if the vehicle is powered-on and idling, u can hear this sound outside the car.

They give 10-years battery warranty in Singapore.

They also appoint several authorized distributors. I heard car companies need to buy a certain quantity of BYD (prior to sales to consumers), to qualify as one.
