Alexander, who was abducted on October 7, 2023, was reportedly interrogated for weeks and held in a Hamas tunnel in the southern Gaza Strip alongside other hostages.

He was a soldier serving the IDF and was captured. A prisoner of war. Plus he is not a Israeli but a US citizen serving in the IDF. That makes him a mercenary and not covered by the Geneva Convention. He can be charged as a spy. And executed.
